Welcome to The Kiln Equestrian Centre, in Farnham, Surrey. We offer a livery service and professional tuition in classical riding not just pony rides! The Kiln EC offers exam training, facility hire, clinic and competition venue, horse schooling and livery as well as riding lessons and hacking on talented reliable home-trained horses and ponies.
Our new 60 x 30m indoor riding arena with waxed surface is complete. We hope these new facilities will make The Kiln Equestrian Centre an even more exciting and rewarding place to ride, train and stable horses in 2014.

Welcome to The Kiln Equestrian Centre
We welcome all horse lovers from 5 years through to mature people looking to ride for pleasure and everything in between! We also train experienced riders to improve their dressage, showjumping or cross country skills either for competition, for fun or for the British Horse Society exams.
Originally, The Kiln Equestrian Centre was born in the mid-eighties in Farnham when it formed a base for the Farnham Riders Club. We were used to running many competitions and rallies in and around the area in dressage, show jumping and cross country jumping. Increasingly I was asked to give riding lessons to children and adults in the Farnham area so I established the Riding School in 1989. This grew and then excelled as a British Horse Society Centre in Badshot Lea, Farnham which was known as Kiln Cottage Stables. We stayed there until 2005 when we felt that we needed a better facility, so we moved to Holt Pound, Farnham situated near Alice Holt Forest and Frensham Common. It is a beautiful location for all riders wishing to enjoy hacking in the English countryside and is well equipped with indoor and outdoor arenas for tuition and new stabling for our liveries.
We have trained many riders and horses over the last 23 years and have about 27 horses available now ranging from schoolmasters and competitive sports-horses, well-trained all-rounders for people to learn on and small ponies for the children. Most of the horses here have been with us a very long time and know their job. The companionship and team spirit of all that come into contact with horses is held here in abundance. We are a very happy stables with a wonderful atmosphere for riders and horses alike.
Our training ethic is to be able to smell the ‘learning in the air’. Something that has been passed down through all the amazing trainers that have helped make The Kiln Equestrian Centre something special. Trainers of note would be Pammy Hutton FBHS Talland and Pammy’s Mother’s books ’Thinking Riding’ by Molly Sivewright FBHS and lastly the late Ernest Scattergood, renowned Army Horseman RMP.
